Emily brings a background in community development, corporate philanthropy, research, and higher education to the Boundless Futures Foundation.
A graduate of Interlochen Center for the Arts, Emily earned a B.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.Phil. from the University of Cambridge. She holds a Ph.D. in Mediterranean archaeology from the University of Pennsylvania. A Fulbright Grant (Italy) and Kolb Fellowship made her doctoral research possible and laid the groundwork for her interest in the change-making power of philanthropy. Emily’s work with Boundless Futures combines this experience with her work on a venture-capital team supporting entrepreneurship, start-ups, and their economic impact.
Emily is a board member of the Traverse Area Historical Society and a member of the Interlochen Public Radio Community Advisory Council.
