Shezal Babar founded SAÉA to build a brand rooted in her cultural heritage, Pakistani ancestral craft, and a commitment to social impact. SAÉA is a sustainable design studio based in San Diego, California, that creates sculptural stone pieces from raw onyx designed by Shezal, hand-carved in Balochistan, Pakistan, and finished in California. SAÉA supports artisan communities in underrepresented regions and offers an alternative to mass produced home décor: everything is created plastic-free, toxin-free, and is made to last. SAÉA supports community nonprofits and is a reminder that business can be beautiful, intentional, and impactful.
