Jo-Anne Barr, a registered nurse, founded GrassJoy in Ellenboro, North Carolina, out of a deep desire to make a better, cleaner gelatin snack option that was also convenient for parents, caregivers, and medical facilities to serve. GrassJoy’s snacks are made of grass-fed gelatin and contain no artificial dyes, flavors or sweeteners. GrassJoy aims to inspire change in hospital food standards.
